To the descendents of John Robert and Martha Secrest Deese:
After the luncheon that was held last month,
several cousins requested that we have another one in a larger facility
this coming Spring.
A Deese Family Reunion will be held in the
fellowship hall of Morningstar Lutheran Church, 12509 Idlewild Rd.,
Matthews, NC on Saturday, May 22, 2010. The facility is large enough to
accommodate several hundred people, and we'll have plenty of time to
mingle, meet lots of relatives and perhaps have a little entertainment.
A catered lunch will be served.
A committee of five has been formed, and we
will meet one day in the near future to work out the details (exact time
of day, cost of the lunch, etc.) which I will email to you.
There are 10 "branches" of the John Robert
Deese family:
Green, Lee, Raymond, Julia, Alvin,
Carrie, Arthur, Joe, Cloy, Parce
Most of all, let's get acquainted with our
"kinfolks" and think about making this an annual event!
